Dear Sir,
For protecting pomegranates or any other fruits during cultivation, there is a new technology called “use of non-woven fabric” material. This material which is similar like a cloth but not stiched, will be used to cover the plant, and this protects the fruits from subburn. This cloth will not prevent any air circulation and also protect from hailstorm etc.
Check below the photo for how the plants can be covered to protect from sunburn,

You can read more information about this at http://www.greenecosystem.in/blog/tag/non-woven-fabric/
Hope this will help.
Thanks
